Dream Theory

31” x 18.5” x 1.5”

This piece explores the passage between waking life and the dreaming hours, where time  dissolves and infinite possibilities unfold. A bed rises toward the moon lifted by balloons, symbolizing the ascent into dreams and imagination. Yet it remains tethered by a chain to the clock below – a reminder that dreams are both escape and return, a temporary release from the structured world ruled by time.

Made with vintage moon and star charts, an old alarm clock with chain, watch faces, a chair, a table with a burning candle, and a bed suspended by balloons now empty after the occupant made their way through the door to dream. The stars dotting the background in this piece are made of vintage rhinestones which twinkle like stars in the night sky when reflecting any light source.

This piece is framed under glass in a 2.5” inch deep hand milled pine frame.
